R. MICHAEL PHILLIPS

R. Michael Phillips is a classically trained artist who has been painting for over 30 years. He's done numerous commissions, illustrations for national products and co-authored and illustrated a children's book. Writing was always something he enjoyed doing, but never had the opportunity to pursue seriously until recently. By combining his creative talents with a passion for art and antiquities, he conceived the fictional world of the East London Adventurers Club.

His first mystery, “Along Came A Fifer” is the result of these efforts and was published in July 2009 by Asylett Press. It is the first book in the Ernie Bisquets Mystery Series. Michael has recently completed the second book in the series- “Rook, Rhyme & Sinker”. It’s with the publisher now, and if editing goes well, it is scheduled to be released Fall 2010. Each mystery is centered around an historical artifact and are loaded with suspense, orchestrated by a gaggle of unusual characters. These are mysteries written in the tradition of an English cozy.

In the meantime, he is putting the notes together for the third book and hopes to have it completed by Spring 2011.
